This Suddenlink.net Visitor Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy") applies to information that is collected from non-logged in visitors to home.suddenlink.net (the "Website"). It does not apply to information provided by Suddenlink customers when they register for an online account or log into their account via the My Account link on the Website. Such information is covered by the separate Suddenlink Communications Privacy Policy.
The Website is hosted and maintained on behalf of Suddenlink Communications and its affiliates (“Suddenlink”) by its service provider, Synacor, Inc. (“Synacor”). As used in this Privacy Policy, “we” or “our” refer to Suddenlink and/or Synacor acting on Suddenlink’s behalf. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from non-logged in Website visitors (“Users”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information. Information Collected From Website Users
- Information Users Provide to Us. We may collect, maintain, and access certain information you provide and information collected from your use of the Website. We will collect information that can be associated with a particular User individually ("Personally Identifiable Information" or "PII") when the User voluntarily provides it to us. For example, certain Website features may ask that you provide PII. You can visit and use the Website without providing us PII. PII does not include aggregated data, anonymized information, or other information that does not identify a particular person. We may generate anonymized or aggregated information from the information we collect. This is information from which any PII has been removed. Our collection, use, and disclosure of anonymized and aggregated information is not subject to any of the restrictions in this Privacy Policy.
- Information Automatically Collected on Website: When a User visits our Website we may collect their Information in the following ways:

- When Required by Law or to Protect Suddenlink or Others. We may access, preserve and disclose your Information, including your PII, if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such access, preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to: comply with legal process; enforce our Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, or other contracts with the User; respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties; or protect the rights, property or personal safety of Altice, its agents and affiliates, its users and the public.
- Data Security. We protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the PII we collect through the use of appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards. Our servers are protected by reasonable physical and electronic security measures, and we use encryption wherever required or if we feel it is otherwise warranted. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect Users’ PII, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Website. Any transmission of PII is at your own risk. Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information.
- Interest Based Advertising. - Your California Privacy Rights. The California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), Cal. Civ. - Right to Know and Deletion Requests. CA Residents have the right under the CCPA to request that we disclose the categories and/or specific information of CA Personal Information we have collected about them, subject to our ability to verify the requestor’s identity. CA Residents also have the right to request that we delete the CA Personal Information we collected from them, subject to certain exceptions and, again, our ability to verify their identity.
For all CA Resident Users, the categories of information we collect, the categories of sources of that information, the business or commercial purposes for which the information was collected, and the categories of third parties with whom it was shared are described above.
As the only CA Personal Information collected from CA Residents in the prior 12 months, is information collected automatically when a User visits the Website, we have no reasonable way to verify a CA Resident User’s identity. As such, we cannot honor requests to know specific pieces of information collected or deletion request with respect to this information.

We may deny a request from an authorized agent that does not submit proof that they have been authorized to act on the CA Resident’s behalf.

- Shine the Light Law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83).
